Rev. Joel Biggers
Rev. Joel Biggers started serving as the pastor in Seemsville in February of 2023. He brings with him an extensive history in serving small, medium, and large congregations. In the past, he worked as campus minister to Montana State University as well as a parish minister serving in settled, designated, and interim pastorates. His ministry settings have taken him across the country from Washington State to Montana to New Jersey, and now in the Lehigh Valley. Always welcoming a challenge, Rev. Biggers embraced the opportunity to serve both St. Peter’s UCC along with St. Paul’s UCC in Northampton in this newly formed union. “I see change as opportunity. For whatever reason, I find it easy to embrace new ideas and ways of being. I also believe that it is important to tell stories. When people connect with a story, it helps them in sharing the power of the Bible.” Joel loves to tell stories and brings a sense of humor to his preaching and worship services. In his spare time, he enjoys walking the fairways of any number of golf courses in the area.
